Rafting on the Dunajec is an exciting pontoon trip on the Sromowce Niżne - Szczawnica route, which runs through the middle section of the Dunajec Gorge. This is where the river forms its most beautiful bends, surrounded by towering limestone walls and green slopes of the Pieniny forests.

Guidance: by qualified instructors - safely and professionally. During the pontoon trip, you will feel the freshness of the mountain air and the power of the Dunajec. Rafting is an ideal alternative to classic rafting - dynamic, but still accessible even for people with no experience. It is a great option for both adults and families with children (from approx. 6 years of age).

1. What is the difference between rafting on the Dunajec River and rafting?

Rafting on the Dunajec River (rafting) is a more dynamic and active form of rafting.

You sail in a smaller rafting boat, not on a large raft.

The emotions are greater, but everything takes place under the supervision of an instructor, so it is safe even for beginners.

2. Is rafting on the Dunajec River safe?

Yes! Rafting takes place with the participation of experienced instructors,

and participants receive life jackets.

The route is adapted to people with no previous experience in rafting.

3. From what age can children take part in the rafting?

The minimum age of the participant is usually around 6-7 years,

depending on weather conditions and water level.

The child must be able to sit independently in the pontoon and wear a life jacket.

4. How long does the rafting on the Dunajec River take?

The entire route from Sromowce Niżne to Szczawnica takes around 2 hours,

depending on the pace of the river and weather conditions.

5. What should you bring with you?

- Comfortable, sports clothing (may get wet)

- Shoes that stay on your feet (e.g. sports sandals or sneakers)

- Towel, or a change of clothes

- Small backpack and a bottle of water

6. Does Dunajec rafting require good physical condition?

No. Dunajec rafting is moderately active

and does not require special preparation.

It is a peaceful form of rafting, suitable even for less active people.

7. What else does the trip include apart from rafting?

After the rafting we visit Szczawnica - the plan includes:

- Cable car ride to Palenica

- Free time and discount at a restaurant

8. Does the rafting take place in all weather conditions?

The rafting takes place in most weather conditions.

In the event of very bad weather (storms, strong winds)

the organizer may cancel the rafting - then a full refund is due.

9. Where and when is the pick-up from?

Pick-up takes place from Zakopane and the surrounding area (Białka Tatrzańska, Bukowina, Poronin, etc.).
