The Demänovská Cave of Liberty is part of a vast karst system; its tourist route is 1,150 meters (standard) or even 2,150 meters (extended) and lasts approximately 60 to 100 minutes.
Exploring it, you'll see spectacular chambers and domes—including the "Veľkýdóm" (Great Dome), measuring up to 75 x 45 x 65 meters.
The route includes 913 steps and a vertical drop of approximately 86 meters, making it an exceptionally intense underground experience.
After the tour, we spend some free time in the historic and picturesque town of Liptovský Mikuláš—an ideal place for relaxation, coffee, shopping, and immersion in Slovak culture.

This small but incredibly charming town is a true gem of the Liptov region – situated on the Váh River, surrounded by the Low and Western Tatras, it offers both beautiful views and a rich history.
What to see and do in Liptovský Mikuláš?
🕍 Market Square and Old Town – strolling through the streets of the center, you'll feel the atmosphere of bygone times. The colorful townhouses, town hall, and well-maintained alleyways are enchanting.
🛍️ Free time for coffee and shopping – in the numerous cafés and restaurants, you can sample local dishes or sip Slovak coffee with mountain views. 🍷 Shops selling regional products – you can purchase local wines, cheeses, handicrafts, and natural cosmetics.
9:00 AM → Pick-up from designated stops along the Zakopane–Bukowina Tatrzańska route.
📸 Short stop at the Średnica viewpoint – panoramic views of the Belianske Tatras and valleys.
🌋 Guided tour of the Demänovská Cave of Freedom, climbing approximately 913 steps, discovering stalactite formations and lakes.

🌋 1. Is visiting the Demänovská Cave of Freedom difficult?
No. The hiking trail is well-maintained and well-lit.
The hike takes approximately 80 minutes and doesn't require any special fitness level.
We recommend comfortable footwear and warm clothing – the temperature in the cave is approximately 6°C.
🎟 2. Is an entrance ticket to the cave included in the tour price?
No, a guided entrance ticket to the Demänovská Ice Cave is not included in the tour price.
You must have euros and hand the money to the driver or tour guide upon departure to purchase the ticket.
🚌 3. Is transportation provided from Zakopane?
Yes – we pick up participants from designated stops in Zakopane and the surrounding area.
The return journey takes place at the same location.
🍽️ 4. Is lunch included in the program?
Yes, in Liptovský Mikuláš there will be free time to eat
lunch on your own at local restaurants.
