Orawa Castle
Built on a 112-meter-high rock, Orawa Castle is one of the major tourist attractions in northern Slovakia. Thanks to its location, it remained unconquered throughout the centuries. During an almost two-hour walk, we will visit the castle chambers and museums, including the ethnographic, archaeological, and historical ones.
The next stage of the tour is a bus journey along the slopes of the Western Tatras, moving from Orava to the land of Janosik - Liptov. In the depths of the Demianovska Valley, we will visit the Freedom Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in Europe. The cave stands out with its richness and diversity of various karst formations. It contains lakes with different types of dripstone formations. Special features include cave pearls similar to pea-sized balls, stalactites covered in frost, the Stone Sun in the Treasury, and lilac-colored lakes with rococo dolls in the Pink House. The total length of the cave (including the neighboring Empty Cave) is 8,900 meters. The average temperature is 6.5°C.
NOTE: The Freedom Cave in Demianovska is currently undergoing renovation. If the renovation extends into the summer season, it will be replaced by the Demianovska Ice Cave.
In Liptovsky Mikulas, we will make a stop for wine tasting, lunch, and shopping. The city serves as the economic, cultural, and tourist center of the historic Liptov region. The most interesting buildings include St. Nicholas Church, the Mining House, and the Synagogue. Liptovsky Mikulas is associated with the legendary Slovak hero Janosik.

Tour Around the Tatra Mountains
Built on a 112-meter-high rock, Orawa Castle is one of the major tourist attractions in northern Slovakia. Thanks to its location, it remained unconquered throughout the centuries. The castle was originally the residence of the owners of Orava, and in 1868, the first museum exhibition on Slovak lands was established there. During the nearly two-hour walk, we will explore the highest situated castle chambers and museums, including the ethnographic, archaeological, and historical ones.
