🛷 Snow groomer expedition in the Gorce Mountains

From the moment you board the snowcat, an exciting ride through snowdrifts and forest trails begins. The vehicle ascends, through snowdrifts and spruce branches, until it reaches winter-stored trails – the views from the snowcat's perspective are incomparable to any ordinary trail. After about 20 minutes, you disembark in a clearing overlooking the Tatra Mountains – the perfect place for a quick stop, photos, and awe at the winter landscape.

Return with us to the Mały Kowaniec Valley, home to a unique site – the Gate to the Gorce Mountains. It's not just a walk – it's a journey through three levels: from the forest floor, through the treetops, and into an underground tunnel filled with multimedia displays. The trail is 1,300 meters long, traversing bridges as high as 35 meters above the ground. Along the way, you'll find two observation towers, a wildlife enclosure, and interactive information boards about the nature of the Gorce Mountains.

The Center offers an entertainment zone: a toboggan run, a tire slide, a playground, a nature screening room, a café, and a regional restaurant. It's the perfect place to warm up, grab a bite to eat, and relax in the snowy forest.

1. Will the trip take place if there's no snow?

Yes, the trip will be carried out in an alternative format – without the snow catcher ride,

but with a full program at the Gorce Gate and a bonfire.

The organizer reserves the right to change the program depending on weather conditions.

 

2. What time does the trip begin and how long is the entire trip?

The trip begins at 9:00 AM (depending on the stop), and the return is planned for approximately 4:30 PM.

The duration is approximately 6-7 hours.

 

3. Is the snow catcher ride safe?

Yes, the vehicle is driven by an experienced operator.

The snow catcher is designed for winter conditions on mountain trails.

 

4. Do I need special equipment or physical fitness?

No – the trip does not require any special skills or fitness.

Warm clothes and comfortable winter shoes are recommended.

 

5. Is a bonfire included in the price?

Yes – a sausage from the bonfire and a break at the shepherd's hut are part of the program.

A vegetarian option is also available – please request it when booking.

Participants can enjoy:

- a treetop trail (1300 m),

- an educational pavilion,

- observation towers,

- forest animal statues,

- a café and souvenir shop,

- a playroom, a nature cinema, and snow slides (sleds, tires).

 

7. Can children join the trip?

Yes – this is also a great option for families with children.

The attractions are suitable for the youngest participants.

 

8. Does the price include tickets and transportation?

Yes – the price includes:

- snowcat ride,

- admission to the Gorce Gate,

- bonfire with refreshments,

- coach or minibus transfer,

- insurance.

 

9. What if the weather deteriorates?

The tour takes place even in the harshest winter conditions.

In the event of very bad weather, the organizer may cancel the tour – in which case a full refund will be given.

 

10. Where exactly is the pick-up location?

From designated stops in Zakopane, Poronin, Bukowina Tatrzańska, and Białka Tatrzańska.
