Tokaj is a unique wine region that is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Thanks to its specific microclimate and geographical location, it boasts a thousand-year-old tradition of wine production, including the famous "Tokaji Aszú" wine.

The first mentions of the castle can be found in documents from the 13th century. It was built as a defensive stronghold after the Tatar invasions. The castle, constructed on a steep rocky ridge, offers breathtaking views of the picturesque landscapes of the surrounding valleys. Within the castle, visitors can admire various exhibitions, including archaeological displays, a military history exhibition, a blacksmith's shop, a castle prison, and an exhibition of lead soldiers depicting famous battles in Hungarian history.

On our way to the capital of the region, we will visit one of the top wineries in Tokaj. The estate covers nearly 110 hectares of vineyards and is located on charming slopes of small volcanic hills. During a walk through the vineyard, we will learn about the art of winemaking - from grape harvesting to bottling. We will observe the process of grape cultivation and wine production, and descend into cellars filled with oak barrels where the wine matures. Finally, we will proceed to a wine tasting of Tokaj wines, which will take place in a historic cellar.
