SEE THE CAVE COVERED IN ETERNAL ICE

A trip that combines the beautiful landscapes of the Slovakian Podtatras with well-known UNESCO-listed historical sites throughout Europe, including the historic center of Levoca, Dobšinská Ice Cave, and Spiš Castle. All of these places are referred to as the pearls of Spiš, making them a real treat for history and culture enthusiasts.

Dobšinská Ice Cave is the first electrified cave in Europe that was made accessible to visitors as early as 1871. Inside, you can witness the eternal ice layer, with the ice thickness reaching over 20 meters. Over the years, dripping water has formed ice formations.

The low temperature, even in the midst of summer, remains in the frozen parts at -3.9 to -0.2°C, preserving the ice in beautiful shapes. The average temperature in ice-free sections ranges from 0.8 to 3.5°C.

The town of Levoca, once known as the Slovak Nuremberg, still amazes with its wealth of architecture on such a small area. The medieval capital of Spiš and former trading powerhouse attracts tourists to its historic market square. During the tour, we will visit St. James' Church with sculptures by Slovakia's most famous sculptor, Master Paul, the creator of the world's tallest wooden Gothic altar measuring 18.6 meters.

As we traverse the Spiš Basin, we will make our way to the ruins of Spiš Castle, majestically overlooking the surroundings. The castle is one of the largest complexes of its kind in Central Europe and stretches across an area of nearly four hectares.

NOTE: The site is under renovation, and there are limitations on visiting.
