CABLE CAR RIDE TO AN ALTITUDE OF 1751 M ABOVE SEA LEVEL

A mountain excursion of moderate difficulty that combines mountain hiking with cable car and mountain railway rides. During the trip, we will be at Lomnicky Stit Lake, hike along the Tatra Magistrala trail, and after descending by a mountain railway from Hrebienok, we will visit Stary Smokovec.

Located at an altitude of 1751 m above sea level, Lomnicky Pond offers magnificent views of Lomnica Peak (2634 m above sea level) and the neighboring peaks. During free time, you can take a walk around the lake or take a cable car ride to Lomnicky Saddle at 2196 m above sea level.

Lomnicky Pond (Skalnate Pleso) is a place for everyone. Children can enjoy their time in the Land of Marmots, an eco-mini park with wooden sculptures, a marmot house, ladders, and many other surprises. During free time, you can visit the highest-located restaurant in the High Tatras.

The scenic trail running along the southern slopes of the High Tatras, known as the "Path Above the Meadows," leads down a rocky path towards Hrebienok at 1285 meters above sea level. Along the way, we will stop for a rest at Zamkowského Chata mountain hut and visit one of the waterfalls, Vodopád Vysny (Upper Waterfall), in Vodopády Studeného Potoka.

Hrebienok is named after the bear Kuba, and visitors can take a souvenir photo with a 2.4-meter tall, 350 kg statue of him at the summit. From Hrebienok, located at an altitude of 1285 meters above sea level, we will descend a height difference of 255 meters in 7 minutes by a mountain railway to Stary Smokovec, the oldest tourist center in Slovakia.

Note: The cable car operator reserves the right to apply a higher price list on selected days (Magistrala - respectively: 33 €/ 27 €/ 24 €). These days are not predetermined or announced in advance. The customer is obliged to pay for Magistrala according to the prices valid on the day of the trip.

In case of ticket price changes for the cable car to Lomnicky Peak, the customer is required to pay the price difference.
